READING

    Today, I am not going to write an entry to give information or to think about something. If you think so, you are mistaken. In this occasion, I am going to talk you about one of my hobbies: reading

    I love reading! I usually read magazines, newspapers and, above all, books. This year, at high school, Spanish teachers have given us a list of some books we could read. These ones are related to the literature we are studying nowadays. For this reason, I have read lots of classic books and writers: Cervantes, Lope de Vega, Calderón de la Barca, Bécquer and so on.

    In addition, I have also read language books, science articles, and, of course, when I have had free time, novels. I often read them at summer.

    I think reading is a great activity because you can learn a lot about things you like and, furthermore, you can identify with the characters of the books.

HOW IS COMUNICATION NOWADAYS?

    Hello everybody!

    Communication is a phenomenon which is essential nowadays. Almost all the countries in the world use it to inform about what is happening, However, this is not the unique utilization of the communication media, since there are some of them that are dedicated to show clothes which are fashionable or to explain how to play videogames.

    Concerning the written press, I have to emphasize we can find different types: diaries (like newspapers), weekly magazines, monthly papers (in general, specialized press, such as scientific publications) and, finally, yearbooks.

    In my opinion, the most populous ones are the newspapers because they are having a big diffusion on the Internet too. We have dairies which are very famous in the whole work, like the Times, Le Figaro or Bild. Furthermore, we dispose of national habitual press, as El Mundo, ABC, El País or La Razón.

    Although these are the most known in a national context, we must not forget the local press. In our area, we have newspapers like Europa Sur or El Faro, TVs, radios and, of course, magazines.

     In conclusion, I believe communication is an essential issue of our lives and newspapers can be an important part of it.

OUR HIGH SCHOOL'S MOTIVATION

        Hi everybody!

     Last Wednesday, the high school celebrated the graduation of the students of the second year of Bachillerato. It was really striking, since it was the end of a nice period at high school. As the students said, they are full of nice remembers about partners and teachers, and the will never forget them!

      As you can see, José Cadalso high school is always organizing different things. Students and, of course, teachers, prepare events and quiz, and, at the same time, they work a lot. One of these events was the festival Cadalso in Concert,  where skifull people could participate.

     I participated in Cadalso in Concert II as a member of the communication group. In an 'informative advance', I can show you my opinion of this festival, evidently, from the point of view of a 'journalist'. This article will be published in our magazine.

PARIS

     Good afternoon!

    Nowadays there are many  problems with the murders and crimes in big cities, like London or Paris. Everyday we watch the images of the police, the army and so on.

    Today I have read in the newspaper something about a soldier in Paris and I have seen many pictures about some members of the army in the underground.

    However, this is always in this way, not only when there are dangerous situations. When we travelled to Paris with our high school, we used to take the underground to move. In some stations, like 'Gare de Lyon', there were a lot of soldiers watching the area. 

    In fact a partner's wallet was stolen and we called the soldiers. They quickly began to run and they called the police control. They paid attention to us and finally one of our teachers recovered the purse. It was amazing!

BYE BYE AREA!

    Hello!

    As everybody knows, we are working on a magazine, which is a very famous type of press nowadays. There are a lot of types of magazines and many of them are very successful. More or less, it ocurred the same with the newspapers. Futhermore, the success has increased due to the new technologies difussion.

    However, the local press is crossing a bad time because of the economic situation. It is the point where I want to arrive. Some days ago, a newspaper of this district, 'Campo de Gibraltar', called 'Area' dissapeared. There is not enough money to publish it and, mainly, it was read by aged people. 'Area' is one of the medias which have been lost. Something similar happened to the magazine 'Alameda', from San Roque.

    Maybe, you can ask me: what do you want to tell us with these things? 

    The answer is easy. I just want to tell you we generally think press is increasing a lot, and there are new ones. On the other hand, the local medias, like radios, newspapers or magazines are disappearing quickly.

     'Area' forever!

Hi everybody!

   As you know, one of my articles at the magazine is about the visit of our Italian friends to Spain and I would like to tell you something about it, because it was very special for me. We spent an incredible week all together. We visited many places, they met our Spanish friends and our families, our high school... They try typical Spanish food, even they danced flamenco!

But this is only a small part. I´m sorry, I can´t tell you more!
